575_10

Frehse Taxidermy Studio is a full service taxidermy studio serving Northeast Indiana, Southern Michigan and Northwest Ohio. This second generation family business has been producing award winning taxidermy since 1966.  Gary Frehse uses his creative talent and flair for detail, to produce high quality mounts of extraordinary caliber.

Gary specializes in Gameheads and Lifesize mammals, and prides himself in his outstanding artistic abilities.  He takes pride in creating realistic habitat settings that complement his completed mounts. As an avid sportsman, Gary receives great satisfaction in seeing his finished products displayed in their natural surroundings.

Gary’s dedication to perfection has been validated with many top rankings at state and world competitions.  After winning Third place at the 1997 World Taxidermy Championships, he returned to win Second place in 1999.  He followed this up with his next entry “Hopeful”, which received First place at the 2001 World Taxidermy Championships. .

The Studio just outside of South Milford, IN has produced a large collection of wildlife mounts, ranging in size from squirrels to bears and buffalos. Although Gary’s passion is for the mounting of Gameheads and mammals, he also uses his remarkable skills for preserving waterfowl, game birds, fish, and other miscellaneous services.

We welcome you to come visit the Frehse Taxidermy Studio’s display room, where you can see for yourself the remarkable creativity and exceptional workmanship. Directions The LaGrange county location is centrally located to Angola, Auburn, Kendallville and LaGrange, and easy to get to from the Fort Wayne and Elkhart/Goshen areas.

High quality mounts can be expected to last a lifetime. Poorly done work can deteriorate in five years or less. Don’t risk losing that once in a lifetime memory to inferior services. Considering the time and expense you have incurred to bag your trophy specimen, it doesn’t make sense to settle for less. When only the best will do, contact Frehse Taxidermy Studio.
